Kent State University Cancels Face-to-face Classes Citing Coronavirus Concerns

Remote instruction will occur until April 13

Kent State University is canceling face-to-face instruction beginning with Tuesday evening classes as a precautionary measure against coronavirus, according to the university’s website.

Ohio’s first coronavirus cases were confirmed on Monday, with all three in Cuyahoga County.

State officials held a press conference on Tuesday afternoon where Governor Mike DeWine recommended canceling in-person college classes, as well as other measures like banning spectators from concerts and sporting events.
