ASAE Announces 132 Professionals Earned Prominent CAE Credential

Two professionals are from Ohio

One-hundred thirty-two association executives recently received their Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from the CAE Commission of ASAE, joining more than 4,500 industry leaders worldwide. The Summer 2020 class of CAEs successfully completed the CAE examination administered nationwide on June 8 – July 6. A full listing of the Summer 2020 class can be viewed here.

“Congratulations to the new class of CAEs. Even in the face of a pandemic they’ve displayed great commitment and perseverance in earning the CAE credential," said Donté P. Shannon, FASAE, CAE, 2019-2020 Chair of the CAE Commission and CEO for the Association of Equipment Management Professionals. "This strength and dedication are assets that will guide their careers and improve the organizations they serve."

Two professionals from Ohio were among those who received the credential; they are Michael Becher, CAE; vice president, Industry Insights, Inc., Dublin; and Michael Valerino CAE, RCE, chief operating officer, Akron Cleveland Association of Realtors, Broadview Heights.

The CAE Program serves to elevate professional standards, enhance individual performance, and designate those who have acquired and have demonstrated knowledge essential to the practice of association management. The CAE Program is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). The next CAE examination will be administered in December 2020. The application deadline is Sept. 25.
