Cruise Industry Extends Voluntary Suspension, Readies for Safe Sailing in 2021
In an announcement this week, Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) said its member companies will voluntarily continue suspension of their operations through the end of the year, using the time to prepare to set sail again safely in 2021, consistent with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) requirements.

“As we continue to plan for a gradual and highly controlled return of cruise operations in the U.S., CLIA members are committed to implementing stringent measures to address COVID-19 safety, including 100 percent testing of passengers and crew, expanded onboard medical capabilities, and trial sailings, among many others,” the association said.
