OhioHealth Returns to No Visitors Policy as COVID Cases Spike

It is temporary banning inpatient and emergency department visitors

OhioHealth is temporary banning inpatient and emergency department visitors starting Nov. 18. The decision comes as coronavirus cases continue to rise across the state.

Exceptions to the policy are:

  • Inpatient surgery patients may have one visitor the day of surgery
  • Maternity
  • End-of-life
  • Inpatients with impairments
  • Inpatients who are minors

Visitors who are allowed under the exemptions mentioned above must be free from COVID-19 symptoms, such as fever, dry cough and shortness of breath in the last 24 hours and must not have been exposed to COVID-19 in the last 10 days.
