iOS 15.2—Update Now

Warning issued to all iPhone users

Apple's iOS 15.2 has finally arrived, along with some great new iPhone features. But the iOS 15.2 update also comes with fixes for a whopping 42 security vulnerabilities, some of which are serious.

Apple doesn’t tend to provide much detail about security fixes, to allow as many people to update their iPhones as possible before attackers can strike. However, some details on the iOS 15.2 security updates are now available on Apple's support page.

Among the vulnerabilities fixed in iOS 15.2 is an issue in the Kernel, which could see a malicious application able to execute arbitrary code with Kernel privileges. The iOS 15.2 update contains fixes for some “pretty severe software flaws,” says Sean Wright, SME security lead at Immersive Labs.
