Shores & Islands Ohio Shines With High-profile Events

While my position at Shores & Islands often has me working behind the scenes, October provided me with several noteworthy opportunities to join with others from our team and tourism industry partners in showing off the region.

The first was the Great Lakes Islands Alliance Conference at Put-in-Bay. This conference is a bi-national network of island residents, business owners, advocates and leaders from across the Great Lakes' states.

The group encourages the building of relationships, fosters the exchange of information and helps leverage resources to address shared challenges and embrace opportunities for mutual benefit. The annual conference is hosted by a different Great Lakes island each year with this being the first time in the Lake Erie islands.
