Skyrocketing swipe fees add injury

Adrian Adornetto is the owner of Adornetto’s Selected Italian Foods in Zanesville, Ohio. In 2012, he purchased the business from his father who, along with his parents, founded the first Adornetto’s in 1958. Adornetto also serves on the board of the Ohio Restaurant Association.

In 1958, barely 50 years after the United States’ first pizza shop opened in New York, my dad started Adornetto’s in Zanesville.

Back then, it was one of only five restaurants on the Maple Avenue stretch. Now, there are more than 50.
