BIA Announces New Manager of Government Affairs

Kelly Harrop is the organization's newest staffer

The Building Industry Association of Central Ohio (BIA) is pleased to announce Kelly Harrop as the association's new manager of government affairs. Harrop joins the BIA after previously serving as communications and outreach director for the Central Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council and as a senior legislative aide in the Ohio House of Representatives.

Harrop will work proactively with BIA members, staff, government leaders and personnel and community and industry partners to help promote housing creation throughout the central Ohio region.

"Kelly has an outstanding grasp on the important role that the residential construction and development industry has to play in the future economic growth of central Ohio and will be an effective advocate in communicating our priorities throughout the region," said BIA Executive Director Jon Melchi, who is also the vice chair of OSAP.
