Ohio Organization Receives Funding to Help Sexual Violence Victims Find Housing

The organization received a grant for $700,000

The Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence received a grant from the federal government that will help them provide safe housing for those who are a victim of sexual violence.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), half of women experience sexual violence in their lifetime; meanwhile, one in three men will also experience it.

The alliance works with rape crisis centers across the state to provide resources for survivors. One of their focuses is housing. Right now, they provide temporary housing through hotels and motels. But, this grant money will allow them to provide more permanent housing.
