Water Emergency Lifted for Village of Waverly
However, a boil advisory is now in effect
The Waverly Fire Department in Pike County announced on Tuesday that the water emergency order has been lifted for residents. A boil advisory is now in effect until further notice.
The Waverly Village Council declared a state of emergency on Monday, directing residents not to use water for any purpose. This was in place as crews worked to repair a major water leak.
On Tuesday, the fire department said the water had been restored. With the boil advisory, residents should boil water for at least one minute before using it for cooking and drinking.
