Costco Recalls Nearly 1 Million Bottles of Prosecco

The $8 bottles of wine are being recalled due to a serious safety hazard

Costco announced this week that it's recalling nearly 1 million bottles of sparkling wine due to a serious safety hazard.

Approximately 941,400 bottles of the retailer Kirkland Signature Valdobbiadene Prosecco are being recalled, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The recall comes on the heels of Costco recently issuing a safety notice to customers, warning of the shattering risk for the same product.

The bottles, which sold for about $8 each between April and August, were manufactured in Italy and imported by Ethica Wines of Miami, Florida. Some were sold in Ohio.
