Director, Member Relations & Programming

The Ohio Society of Association Professionals (OSAP) seeks a driven, creative, focused professional to develop and implement membership recruitment, retention and engagement programs; generate sponsorship revenue; develop educational programming and craft multi-dimensional events for Ohio's leading association of industry professionals.
This key leadership role is best suited to a self-starter committed to serving the organization's members while living the organization's mission and collaborating with subject matter experts at the local, state and national levels to provide educational opportunities that connect members and help the industry thrive. In collaboration with the organization's president & CEO and volunteer leadership, this person plays a pivotal role in supporting members, building the business acumen of all association professionals and serving as a leader in Ohio's association community. This role will be integral in implementing initiatives that keep members engaged and attract new members.
Key Responsibilities
Member Relations Duties:
- Oversee annual membership dues renewal process, including creating invoices and processing dues payments
- Research and identify prospective members and conduct outreach to them while facilitating new member processing and orientation
- Provide input for strategic efforts to engage and retain members
- Respond to member requests and issues
Meetings and Events Duties:
- Develop and distribute requests for proposals (RFPs) for annual conferences and quarterly luncheon meetings
- Manage and administer the annual conference registration system and hotel room utilization
- Respond to all event-related requests and issues while representing the event services area to all internal and external stakeholders
- Manage in-person and virtual events to lessen burden on other staff

This position can be done in a hybrid setting; however, on-site office duties are required pre- and post-events.
