Safety Strategy
A major trade group for the promotional products industry—makers of the cups, shirts, and other swag you generally see at annual meetings—is launching a new health and safety effort for events.

This week, the Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) launched Healthpitality, an initiative establishing safety protocols and procedures to protect its members, staff, and partners at its events. A Healthpitality logo displayed around the venue will indicate where the protocols are in place.

“Healthpitality represents PPAI’s commitment to the health and safety of all those who attend, participate, and work at our live events,” said Paul Bellantone, CAE, PPAI’s president and CEO, in a news release. “Our goal is to provide peace of mind in an environment where the PPAI community can be safe, comfortable, and productive. On behalf of the entire PPAI team and the board of directors, I look forward to welcoming the promotional products industry back to PPAI live events—safer, stronger, and better together.”
