Help for MS Patients
Multiple sclerosis is a challenging disease in normal times, but COVID-19 adds new complications. For example, the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA) notes that some MS treatments can suppress the immune system, which can put users of those treatments at higher risk in the pandemic.
To help those trying to manage the disease at home, MSAA has created the COVID-19 and MS Pathfinder. The tool offers MS patients, caregivers, and family members information related to the disease in a frequently updated format and an interactive, user-friendly interface. Content includes suggestions for accessing prescriptions, what to do if a person with MS has COVID-19 symptoms and how to maintain a healthy diet.
