Franklin County Elevated to Red in Coronavirus Alert System

Sixty-five percent of Ohioans living in 'very high exposure' counties

Twenty-nine counties in Ohio are now listed in the red under the state's coronavirus alert system. That's 65 percent of the population.

The Ohio Public Health Advisory System uses seven indicators to assess the degree of the virus spread in each county.

Governor Mike DeWine said in his press conference Thursday that 52 counties are 'high incidence' - meaning the county has seen more than 100 cases per 100,000 residents during the past two weeks.
