Today, the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) reported 1,976 new cases of COVID-19, 167 hospitalizations and 58 deaths. There is a disclaimer on the data saying the state continues to reconcile the data and the number of deaths will fluctuate.
Earlier this month, ODH announced as many as 4,100 COVID-19 deaths may have been underreported through the state's system between October and December. The death counts had been higher for a few days because of the issue.
ODH also reported 964,380 confirmed cases, 17,183 deaths and 50,118 hospitalizations. Today, the department reported 904,270 presumed recoveries and said approximately 1,573,435 people had received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
