The Indictment against NYC Mayor Adams is now Unsealed

He has been charged with bribery and taking foreign donations

New York City Mayor Eric Adams was charged Thursday with bribery, wire fraud and seeking illegal campaign donations — a years-long catalogue of alleged crimes stemming from what prosecutors called his "corrupt relationships" with rich foreigners.

Defiant, the police officer turned politician vowed to remain in office and fight the charges, even as he faced the prospect of years in prison and calls from fellow Democrats to resign.

"I'm the mayor of the city of New York,” he said during a news conference, where he was flanked by clergy members and other supporters while he was heckled by some spectators. “From here, my attorneys will take care of the case so I can take care of the city. My day-to-day will not change. I will continue to do the job for 8.3 million New Yorkers that I was elected to do."
