Presidential Actions - January 2025
This week, executive action was taken to revoke several executive orders impacting employers. As a trusted advisor, we are here to help you navigate these changes and the likely legal challenges related to DE&I, Artificial Intelligence and other federal mandates as a result of these actions.
Many employers are asking, “What should I do now?."
As with many things in HR, we recognize that these actions will impact every organization differently. It is our recommendation that employers continue their best practices in these areas and take a “wait and see” approach, to the extent possible, since additional guidance is forthcoming.
If you are a federal contractor or subcontractor, it is recommended that you consult your legal counsel for guidance. For all others, we recommend maintaining your current best practices and continuing to enforce your non-discrimination policies and commitment to supporting all employees. If you are considering changes, carefully consider the potential impact before implementation.
