Israel delayed the release of Palestinian prisoners and detainees hours after three Israelis and five Thai nationals were released by Hamas today as part of the Gaza ceasefire deal.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called those set to be freed "terrorists," in a statement released by his office. He said the delay would be enforced "until the safe exit of our hostages is guaranteed in the next few days."
Netanyahu had earlier criticized the chaotic scenes as Israeli hostages Agam Berger, 20, Arbel Yehoud, 29, and 80-year-old Gadi Moses, were freed along with five Thai nationals who were surrounded by large crowds of Hamas fighters and onlookers as they were handed to the International Committee of the Red Cross.
