The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced April 28, 2025, that it will issue waivers allowing the sale of E15 gasoline during the 2025 summer driving season, from June 1 to Sept. 15. This move is intended to help maintain a stable and adequate fuel supply during the nation’s busiest travel months.
The Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association applauds the decision announced by the EPA to continue the sale of higher-ethanol blend E15 gasoline. This move helps ensure that consumers have the ability to fuel their summer vacations and travel plans with the more affordable and cleaner-burning E15, commonly sold as "unleaded 88."
"Through the leadership of President Donald Trump, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin and USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins, consumers in Ohio and nationwide will benefit from lower fuel costs," said Tadd Nicholson, executive director of the Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association. "This decision is meaningful to consumers, the environment and corn growers."
