Manchin Once Again Blocks Key Biden Legislation
He is now opposed to the Build Back Better plan, which would improve millions' lives
Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) said Sunday he will not vote for President Joe Biden's Build Back Better Act, deflating Democrats' hopes of passing the nearly $2 trillion legislation aimed at transforming the nation's social safety net in the new year.
"I've always said this, Brett, if I can't go home and explain to the people of West Virginia, I can't vote for and I cannot vote to continue with this piece of legislation, Manchin, a key centrist, said on "Fox News Sunday. "I just can't."
"This is a 'no' on this legislation," he said. "I've tried everything humanly possible. I can't get there."
