Vacations Are Essential

Don't negate the value of mental relief

In today's fast-paced and technology-driven world, it's becoming increasingly challenging to disconnect from the constant noise and demands of daily life.

Taking a vacation and intentionally unplugging from our digital devices has never been more crucial for our overall well-being.

That’s part of the reason why the Illinois Park & Recreation Association launched Unplug Illinois, a public awareness campaign that encourages people to unplug from their electronic devices and plug into play, creativity, friendship, adventure and family. Here’s a look at five ways why vacation time is necessary for all association professionals.
