Honda Recalls 720,000 Vehicles

The recall cites possible cracks in fuel pumps

Honda is recalling approximately 720,000 vehicles in the United States over concerns that a cracked component can leak fuel, increasing the risk of a fire, according to safety regulators.

The recall affects 2025 Honda Civics, 2025 Honda Civic Hybrids, 2023 and 2024 Honda Accords, and Honda CR-V Hybrids from 2023 through 2025. During a fuel pump leak, drivers may smell fuel when the car is idling or driving, said the National Highway Traffic Administration (NHTA).

Investigators traced the problem to cracks caused by manufacturing problems with a high-pressure fuel pump made by Hitachi Astemo, one of Honda’s suppliers.
