ASAE Shares Societal Impact Framework with Association Community

Navigating an increasingly polarized world can be challenging

As Election Day approaches, the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) is re-sharing its Societal Statement Framework as a resource for association leaders considering a pre- or post-election statement.

Navigating an increasingly polarized world can be challenging, and this resource is designed to help ASAE leadership as well as the broader association community be more strategic and deliberative when speaking up on important but sensitive issues.

ASAE staff and leadership considers a set of evaluative criteria outlined in determining whether a public statement is appropriate. That criteria includes whether there is a connection to the association management profession; applicability to any ASAE board-approved position statements; or opportunity to demonstrate ASAE’s leadership or collaborate with other industry organizations, among other considerations.
