Florida Department of Education Releases List of Banned Books in K-12 Schools

The list contains more than 700 titles

Over the weekend, the Florida Department of Education released a list of more than 700 books that were “removed or discontinued” from districts throughout the state last school year.

That’s an increase of almost 400 books from the list they released one year ago, for the 2022-2023 school year.

According to the list, Central Florida districts including Brevard, Marion, Orange, Polk, Seminole and Volusia County Schools all removed books last year.
