It's happening Jan. 29, 2025
The Ohio Trucking Association (OTA) is hosting a DOT Reasonable Suspicion Training on Wednesday, Jan. 29 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Led by Ruth Bowdish, the managing director of On Demand Occupational Medicine, this two-hour virtual course equips supervisors and employees with the skills needed to recognize alcohol misuse and controlled substance abuse.
The training covers 60 minutes on identifying signs of alcohol misuse and 60 minutes on recognizing indicators of controlled substance use. This course ensures that all attending supervisors receive the required training outlined in 49 CFR Part 40 Section 382.603, equipping them to assess reasonable suspicion to test a driver as specified in 49 CFR Part 40 Section 382.307. Attendees will gain practical knowledge, with a certificate of completion emailed at the conclusion of the course.
