OpenAI Fully Presses "Play" on Sora

OpenAI is releasing its text-to-video tool Sora to U.S. users today

OpenAI fully released its text-to-video tool Sora to U.S. users and those in "most international countries" Monday. The latest version is "significantly faster" and is available as a stand-alone product to ChatGPT Plus users, who can create up to 50 videos a month, while Pro users get unlimited access.

Sora also includes a Re-Mix feature to edit videos, a Storyboard interface to create sequences and a Blend option that combines videos while keeping details of each.

Meta and smaller firms such as Runway, Stability AI and Pika Labs already have their own text-to-video tools.
