Description:
Assurex Global is seeking a candidate for a full-time position that supports its overall marketing and communication function. This includes: maintaining a professional, consistent brand; executing a comprehensive event communications program; helping develop/update marketing materials/digital properties, and assisting with social media program implementation. A vice president of marketing communication and a communication manager support this position.
Responsibilities:
- Writing, proof reading/copy editing corporate communication and/or marketing pieces (improving copy by verifying and correcting spelling, grammar and consistency).
- Coordinating, developing, obtaining approval and sending electronic communication to Partners, carriers and providers (nearly 30 yearly events plus webinars, announcements and monthly e-newsletter publications). Two to five corporate communications are distributed daily.
- Developing/updating branded materials, such as event directories, event signage, business development collateral, PowerPoint presentations, business cards, letterhead, etc.
- Social media – assisting with the creation and scheduling of daily posts for corporate Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter accounts.
- Content marketing – assisting with the coordination and distribution of content marketing assets.
- Public relations – assisting with press release drafting, approvals and other potential PR functions for a newly developing program.
- Public website and private Partner-only website – helping to continually develop new features and functionality as well as provide user support.
- Surveys – creating, distributing and reporting results of event evaluation, benchmarking and other surveys to capture feedback from Partners.
- Tracking and measuring engagement/statistics – reporting publication, social media and website metrics to pinpoint trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Administrative – helping with phone, door and mail duties for the office as well as potential admin projects for the communication department.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing or communication
- Experience in social media marketing
- Proficient in Adobe Product Suite (specifically InDesign and Photoshop)
- Basic design skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Familiar with AP style
- Can be entry-level; bonus to have experience and/or internships
- Fast learner
- Able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment and function in an entrepreneurial culture
- Proactive/self-starting
- Bonus to be familiar with Cvent (event registration system), MailChimp (email marketing software), Act-On (marketing automation software), Salesforce (customer relationship software) and GetFeedback (survey software)
